Depending on the type of business you have or plan to start, you will need at least one of two licenses:
One part of the application is specific to the commissary kitchen you plan to use. That page needs to be given to the commissary kitchen to fill out before you turn it in to the Marion County Public Health Department. Lastly, you may plan to work in other counties. You will need to apply for a license in each county that you plan to do business in.
Your business will need to carry general liability insurance. We do not promote a specific insurance provider. However, most insurance providers offer general liability insurance.
As part of your Marion County Public Health Department license, you will need to complete a ServSafe Food Manager class and exam. Like insurance providers, we do not promote a specific course provider. However, it you may easily search for one that provides either in-person or online classes and exams.
This membership includes 24 hour access to our facility everyday of the year. Share Kitchen User Members prepay for their first three kitchen hours each month. Included in their monthly prepay are three hours of Dining Room rental time each month. These hours DO NOT roll over month-to-month. Once a member exceeds their prepay hours, they are issued a bill for the additional kitchen hours the following month.

Mobile Unit & Seasonal Members prepay for their first five kitchen hours each month. Included in their monthly prepay are three hours of Dining Room rental time each month. These hours DO NOT roll over month-to-month. Once a member exceeds their prepay hours, they are issued a bill for the additional kitchen hours the following month.
We offer two types of dry storage: a single cage OR a whole cart (with three cages). Storage is billed monthly. Members can begin and end storage at any time (if available).
We offer four types of fridge storage: 1/2 shelf, 3 ft shelf, 4 ft shelf, and 5 ft shelf. Storage is billed monthly. Members can begin and end storage at any time (if available).
We offer one type of freezer storage: whole shelf. Storage is billed monthly. Members can begin and end storage at any time (if available).
Due to limitations on kitchen time and storage space, we are currently on a waitlist for ALL new members. Once we are able to take on a few new members, we reach out to EVERYONE on our waitlist. Thank you for understanding. Talk to you soon.
